Thelma Jean Smith, 77, of McMinnville died Wednesday, Sept. 25 at NHC Health Care Center in McMinnville.
She was born Nov. 16, 1935 in Coffee County and was a retired quality control manager with Oster Corporation, and a member of the Church of Christ at Highway 56 North.
Ms. Smith was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Allen and Lucille A. Brown Reed; her husband, John D. Smith; and son, Rodger Dale Smith.
Survivors include her daughter, Geraldine Smith and husband, Howard Mathis, daughter-in-law, Ann Smith; granddaughter, Wendy Stepp; great-grandchildren, Cameron and Dylan Stepp; step-grandchildren, Gary (Betsy) Stubblefield, Shawna Stubblefield-Partin, and Jim Bob (Michelle) Stubblefield; several step great-grandchildren, family members, and friends.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Garland Robinson will officiate. Interment will follow at Ivy Bluff Cemetery.
