Mr. Terry Clinton Coppinger, 75, of McMinnville, went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 24. He was born June 11, 1948, in McMinnville, was retired as a purchasing buyer with DeZurik after 30 years of service, and was a member of Alexandria Church of God where he served on the Pastor’s Council. He loved all things Elvis and enjoyed watching TV especially Westerns and car shows. Mr. Coppinger was preceded in death by parents, William Alexander “Willie” and Amy Lee Stoner Coppinger; second wife, Sharon Black Coppinger; sister, Potsie Miller; and brothers, Willie Coppinger and Shorty Coppinger.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy Coppinger; children, Vanessa (Ernie) Winchester and Jeremy Chad (Tammy) Coppinger; grandchildren, Nicholas Winchester, Quincie Winchester, Wesley (Breanna) Coppinger, Pacey Coppinger, Clinton Coppinger and Andrew Coppinger; great-grandchildren, Cooper, Annie, Helena and Poppy Coppinger; sister, Patricia “Pat” (Howard “Egypt”) Parker; and the mother of his children, Judy Coppinger.
Funeral service was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Joe Sneed officiated. Interment followed at Gardens of Memory Cemetery. The Coppinger family received friends Monday from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. and again Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the parlors of McMinnville Funeral Home. Terry’s grandchildren served as honorary pallbearers.
