Susan Pauline Hill, 95

Beersheba Springs resident and Grundy County native Susan Pauline Hill, 95, was born Jan. 11, 1918 and died Nov. 9 at Emerald Hodgson Hospital in Sewanee following an extended illness.
A retired teacher at Beersheba Springs Elementary School and a member of Beersheba Springs Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin J. and Minnie Belle Clendenen Hill. She was a member of DAR and the Grundy County Retired Teachers Association.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Carrie Lee Willis, Marjorie Petersen, J.B. Hill, Richard Hill, Wayman Hill, Marshal Hill, B.B. Hill, Mabel Tate, Morgan Hill, Marcus Hill, Rhonnel and Raymond Hill.
She is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral service was held Sunday, Nov. 10, in High’s Chapel with Don Hill and Sam Stansbury officiating. Burial followed at Shiloh Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Shiloh Cemetery or Beersheba Springs Church of Christ.
High Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
