Susan M. Boren, 58, of Smithville died unexpectedly Thursday, Nov. 28, at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville.She was born in Detroit, Mich., on April 9, 1955, the daughter of the late Katy (Stewart) and Wayne Tomlin.She was a member of the Baptist Church and is survived by a daughter, Candace M. Hayes, (Michael Burks) of McMinnville; two sisters, Ronda D. Rayl of Michigan, Melissa J., and husband Shawn Perkins of McMinnville; three nieces, Tina Ripley of McMinnville, Mary Rayl of Michigan, Kari Rayl of Michigan; three nephews, Terry Tomlin II of McMinnville, Abraham Perkins of McMinnville, Ezekiel Perkins of McMinnville; two great-nieces, Allissa Tomlin of McMinnville, Haley Rhea Martinowicz of Michigan, three great-nephews, Marshall, Jeffery, and Hayden Gill of Michigan, uncle, Sid and wife Sophie Stewart, aunt, Mattie Sue Vaughn both of McMinnville; several beloved cousins and a host of friends.She was preceded in death by parents, Wayne and Katy (Stewart) Tomlin, one sister, Kathy Paulette Ripley, and one brother, Terry W. Tomlin.The family will receive friends from noon to 1 p.m., the time of the service, at Gardens of Memory Funeral Home Chapel. Rick Stewart will be officiating. Private interment will be held in the Martin Cemetery Smithville.
