McMinnville resident and Gadsden, Ala., native Steven Taylor Johnson, 53, was born Feb. 22, 1962 and died Feb. 1 at Saint Thomas West Hospital in Nashville following a sudden illness. The director of human resources for Caney Fork Electric, he was the son of the late James Edward and Sara Frances Taylor Johnson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jimmy and Melba Griffith.He was married Nov. 14, 1987 to Beth Griffith Johnson of McMinnville.
