Steve “Pappy” Stanley, 70, of Smithville died Monday afternoon at Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro.He was born Jan. 3, 1947 to his parents, James Edward Stanley and the late Dean Campbell Stanley. In addition to his mother, he was preceded death by his wife Lucy Stanley; son Stevie Stanley; sister Paulette Bain; and brothers-in-law Aubrey Gunter, Ernest Warren. Steve was a member of Smithville Church of Christ and a retired truck driver.
