Rock Island resident and Warren County native Stephen Douglas Turner, 64, was born Nov. 15, 1950 and died April 16 at his residence following an extended illness. The owner and mechanic at Shade Tree Repair, a United States Army veteran of Vietnam, and a member of the New Bybee Methodist Church, he was the son of the late B.K. Turner and Dorothy Turner Gillette. He was married July 12, 1969 to Linda Harris Turner, who preceded him in death May 24, 2007.
