McMinnville resident and Grundy County native Stanley Uvohn Gross, 71, was born Jan. 2, 1946 and died March 3 at his residence following a seven-month illness.A retired supervisor with Oster Corporation who attended New Union The Baptist Church, he was the son of the late Fred Cleveland and Margie Frances Perry Gross.He was married Dec. 27, 1969 to Diane Gross of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Rhonda and Keith Sims of Morrison and Brittany Hale of McMinnville; two granddaughters, Bailey and Keragan Sims; and sister and brother-in-law, Tula and Powell Dykes of McMinnville. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 6, at High’s Chapel with Johnny Gross officiating.
