Sherry Darlene Grissom, 51, a McMinnville resident and Warren County native, was born Nov. 13, 1961 and died at her home Sept. 30 surrounded by family following an illness of 13 months.She was self-employed in nursery work, a member of Sunny Hills Baptist Church and daughter of the late Foster and Lucille Young Turner Sr. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by granddaughter, Cassandra Walling.She was married Nov. 29, 2004 to Hans W. Grissom, who survives. She is also survived by two daughters, Jennifer Walling and Amanda Snider of McMinnville; two sons, Josh (Nikki) Walling of Rock Island, and Brent (Khristina) Walling of McMinnville; four stepsons, Josh Grissom of Nashville, Jay Grissom of McMinnville, Brian Grissom of Waco, Texas, and Jimmy Walling of Michigan; 16 grandchildren, five brothers, Jim Turner of Michigan, Kenny, Rick, Tom and Foster Turner Jr., all of McMinnville; three sisters, Dot Sullivan and Brenda Roberts of McMinnville, and Mary Sewell of Murfreesboro.Funeral service will be at noon Thursday, Oct. 3 at High’s Chapel with John Jones Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Armstrong Cemetery.
