Shelley J. Chaney Adams, 49

 Shelley J. Chaney Adams, 49, passed away peacefully with loved ones present Dec. 7 at her residence.
She was born Jan. 14, 1968, in St Mary’s, Ohio, the daughter of Dean and Donna Chaney (Miller). Her father and mother survive in St Mary’s, Ohio.

 Other survivors include, daughter, Mackenzie Adams and Dustin Mears (Readyville), brother, Kevin and Jess Chaney of St. Mary’s, sisters, Jeff (Teresea) Zizelman of Rockford, Ohio, Donny (Angel) Ginter of St. Mary’s Ohio, and Sue Chaney of Wapakoneta, Ohio. She is also survived by her ex-husband, Randy Adams from Tampa, Fla. 

 Shelley was a graduate of the St. Mary’s Memorial High School and various technical classes for banking. She worked her way up to executive assistant and assistant vice president for First National Bank of Middle Tennessee. She opened a new banking center in Murfreesboro and planned on opening another before retiring in May to fight pancreatic cancer. Most of all, her greatest joy was being a mother and being remembered for her unconditional love of life. She was an active member of Cornerstone Community Church, and she enjoyed working on her home, arts and crafts and cooking. Shelley was proceeded in death by many loved ones from the Miller, Chaney and Adams families.

 Funeral service was Dec. 9 at Woodbury Funeral Home with Rev. Rick McFerrin officiating. Memorial contributions may be directed to her daughter, Mackenzie Adams, in care of Woodbury Funeral Home to further her college education.
There will be a second service in Ohio for Shelley at Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, St. Mary’s, Ohio, 45885 on Dec. 16. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to noon and funeral services will be 1 p.m. Dinner will follow the service and family members will post via Facebook. Memorial contributions may be directed to Teresea Zizelman trustee to Mackenzie Adams.
