McMinnville resident and Norwich, England native Semone “Monnie” Holland, 91, was born Sept. 26, 1922 and died Feb. 19 at her residence following an extended illness.A homemaker, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Daisy Chapman Lloyd. She was married to George Munro Holland, who preceded her in death. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Brian Nelson; daughter-in-law, Kathy Holland; brother, Jack Hines and sister, Gladys Hines.Mrs. Holland is survived by a son and special daughter, Jack Holland and Roxann Denton Campbell of McMinnville; former daughter-in-law, Janie Barnes; eight grandchildren and their spouses, Tammy and Bob Ried, Dana and Crystal Holland Seurlock, Jamie and Heath Griffith, Jeannie and Luna Nelson Rocha, Jack and Brittany Holland II, George Christopher Holland, Kenny and Jessica Holland and Jackie Holland Hawkins, all of McMinnville; 12 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great-grandchildren and nephew, John Hines and family of Norwich, England.Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in High’s Chapel with Joe King officiating.
