Selma Jean Brooks, 69, a McMinnville resident and Warren County native, died April 30 at her residence following a lingering illness.She was a retired manager for Dairy Queen, a member of New Hope Full Gospel Church and daughter of the late Claude Alexander and Ocie Adell Hickey.She was married to Douglas E. Brooks Sr., who preceded her in death May 19, 2009. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sister, Betty Talbert.Mrs. Brooks is survived by son, David Lynn (Mitzi) Hickey Sr. of McMinnville; grandson and granddaughter, David Lynn Hickey Jr. and Kayla Brook Hickey of McMinnville; nieces, nephews, cousins and caretaker April Michelle Stembridge of McMinnville.Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Sunday in High’s Chapel with Carl Crowe to officiate.
