Sarah Rose Zeanah, 74, died Thursday, Sept. 22.
She was proceeded in death by her mother, Bettye J. Rose; father Robert C. Eaton Sr.; grandparents, Grover and Willie Rose, and Ely and Essie Eaton.
She was a graduate of Chattanooga High School. She was previously employed by Chattanooga News Free Press, and Standard Publishing Company in McMinnville where she lived for several years. She retired from Cigna Healthcare.
She was a member of St. John United Methodist Church, where she taught the Christian Friendship Sunday School class, was a former member of the chancel choir, UMW member.
Sarah’s interests included painting, and studying God’s word. She had become a prayer warrior because of God’s gracious forgiveness of her sins.
Survivors are her son Michael Zeanah and wife Donna; daughter Katy Smith and her husband Barry; grandchildren Daniel Shawn McDaniel, Caren Elizabeth Green and husband Heath, and Casey Dawn Hamby and her husband Jacob; three precious great-granddaughters, Piper Green, Lily and Iris Hamby; four special cousins and their spouses.
Funeral service was Saturday, Sept. 24, at St. John United Methodist Church. Interment followed at Forest Hills Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to St. John United Methodist Church.
