Sarah Marguerite “Margie” Savage, 84, died with family by her side April 4.
She was born in South Pittsburgh on Oct. 29, 1926 to Henry and Maggie Smith. She had a full-time job raising four children, whom she was very proud of, and a loving wife to her husband, Levere Savage. She was a compassionate and loving mother to her children and to all that were fortunate to have known her. In addition to raising her children, she found time to receive nursing assistant certification as well as a completing theology at Palm Beach Junior College.
She is survived by her children Connie Ludemann-Ayers (Doug) of Lake Worth, Fla., Ronnie Savage (Dianna) of Manchester, Cindy Brewer (Edmund-deceased) of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., and Todd Savage (Donna) Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.,/ North Carolina, grandchildren Nichole Ludemann of Lake Worth, Fla., William Roulette of Boca Raton, Fla., and Samantha Marguerite Savage of Manchester; her sisters Lillian George and Barbara Chapman both of Manchester. Margie was predeceased by her husband, William Levere Savage, and brother, John Smith.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 11 at Spencer Town Cemetery. Dennis Deweese will officiate. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m., and again Monday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the parlors of McMinnville Funeral Home.
