Sarah Lewiza Boren, 89, of McMinnville (Green Hill community) died Tuesday, Feb. 28, at DeKalb Community Hospital in Smithville. She was born Jan. 26, 1923 in Sevierville and was a homemaker and a member of Bluff Springs Church of Christ. Mrs. Boren was preceded in death by parents George Frederick and Rosie Belle Loveday Emert, husband John O. Boren, brother Theodore Emert, halfsister Leonna Weeks, and halfbrother Arthur Emert.Survivors include a niece, Thelma Knight; a nephew, James Emert, and special great-nephew and caregiver, Mike Emert and wife Vickie.
