Ruby May Bell, 78, a McMinnville resident and White County native, was born Jan. 18, 1939 and died July 31 in NHC Healthcare of McMinnville following a six-month illness.She was a retired sales lady, member of the Baptist Church and daughter of the late Willie Enoch and Mida Catherine Hutchings Rigsby. Mrs. Bell was married Aug. 24, 1955 to William B. Bell, who preceded her in death Jan. 1, 2003. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sister Sarah Ann Tobitt; and brothers Junior Emmett Rigsby and J.C. “Jay” Rigsby.Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Teresa and Richard Mason of Rock Island, Tammy Bullock of Murfreesboro, and Colette and Matthew Millett of Buford, Ga.; three grandchildren, April Ogle and husband Brandon of McMinnville, Ricky Mason of Rock Island and Noah Millett of Buford, Ga.; five great-grandchildren; sister, Reba Hasty of the Centertown community; brother, James “Pug” Rigsby of the Centertown community; several nieces and nephews; and three special friends, Freddy Pirtle of Woodbury, JoAnn Smithson of McMinnville and Kathy Winfree of the Centertown community.
