McMinnville resident and Warren County native Ruby L. Joines, 88, was born Oct. 7, 1923 and died July 21 at her residence following an extended illness.
She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. A homemaker and a member of East End Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Elizabeth Reeder Cantrell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Bessie Roller and Eula Allen; and two brothers, Herman and Bill Cantrell.
She was married to Vernon C. Joines of McMinnville. In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Sandra F. Hillis of McMinnville; one son and daughter-in-law, Bobby “Butch” and Elaine Cagle of Lewisburg; four grandchildren, Charleigh Beth Cagle, Jill Pierce, Stephanie Dunlap and Tracy Hillis; five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; and one brother and sister-in-law, Haskel and Elfreda Cantrell of McMinnville.
A graveside service and interment was held in Mt. View Cemetery on Monday, July 23 with Garland Robinson officiating.
High Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
