Royce Allen Davenport, 66, a McMinnville resident and Warren County native, died July 1 at his residence following a one-year illness. He was the owner and operator of Quick Wash Laundries and West Main Company and son of the late Ulus Floyd and Vergie Atha Jones Davenport. He was elected mayor of McMinnville in 1986 and served until 1990 and again from 2000 to 2008.
