Rodney Charles McCormick Sr., 66

Morrison resident and Detroit, Mich., native Rodney Charles McCormick Sr., 66, was born Aug. 3, 1945 and died Aug. 26 at the Willows at Winchester Care in Winchester following an extended illness. 
A self-employed aluminum siding installer and United States Army veteran, he was the son of the late Charles W. and Elaine Derouin McCormick. He was married to Bonnie Faye Cantrell, who preceded him in death March 12, 2011. He is survived by two sons, Rodney McCormick Jr., of Virginia, and Bryan McCormick of Florida; two daughters, Nichole McCormick and Brittany McCormick, both of Florida; 10 grandchildren; two sisters, Cheryl Partin of Estill Springs, and Penny Clendenon of Smyrna, four brothers, David, Mike, Pat and Dennis McCormick, all of McMinnville and 15 nieces and nephews. 
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at High’s Chapel. Burial will follow at New Union Cemetery on Highway 30 with full military honors administered by the VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today, and 9 a.m. until time of service Monday at High’s.
