McMinnville resident and Davidson County native Robert Wayne Burns, 54, was born Aug. 30, 1956 and died March 22 at his residence following an extended illness. An employee of Bridgestone/ Firestone in LaVergne, a United States Navy veteran of Vietnam and member of the Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Robert and Barbara June West Burns. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his fathers-in-law, Frank Pinegar and J.P. Stubblefield, and uncle, Edy West.
