Robert “Pete” Parsley, 85, of McMinnville was born Jan. 27, 1932 and died July 13 at his residence.Retired from Powermatic after 42 years, he was son of the late Robert and Grace Lee Butler Parsley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Lila Medley and Louise Dilley, and brother Thomas Eugene Parsley.Mr. Parsley was married Sept. 16, 1950 to Dimple Davis Parsley, who survives. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Cynthia Parsley of McMinnville, and David Parsley of Murfreesboro; brother and sister-in-law, Clifford and Brenda Parsley of Meridianville, Ala.; sister, Juanita Roller of Madison, Ala.; grandchildren, Stacy Sanders, Jeremy Sanders, Jessica Parsley Tidwell and Christopher Parsley; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday at High’s.
