Mr. Robert F. Castle, 78, of McMinnville passed from this life Friday, Nov. 23, at VA Medical Center in Nashville after an extended illness.

Robert was born Tuesday, June 11, 1940 in Paintsville, Ky., the son of the late James Castle and the late Mandy Caudill. He was the husband of Delena Castle. He served in the Army for 21 years and retired in 1977 as a Sergeant First Class. He served in the Vietnam Conflict. Robert worked as an electrican and was a pastor in the Church of God Faith. He was a member of Manchester Church of God.

Robert is survived by his wife of 56 years, three sons, Bobby and wife Diadre of Kentucky, Billy and wife Tonya of Tennessee, and Micheal Castle and wife Anne of Texas, one sister, Faye Hornwall and husband Frank of Ohio, one brother, James Castle of Ohio, four grandchildren, Heather Acosta, Robert Castle, Katie Castle, and Kelli Castle.

He was preceded in death by his parents, father, James Castle and mother Mandy Caudill, several brothers and sisters.

Funeral service was Monday at Gardens of Memory Funeral Home with David Petty officiating. Interment followed at Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at gardensofmemoryfuneralhome.com.
