Robert Edward Stoik, 90, a McMinnville resident and Chicago, Ill., native died May 26 in St. Thomas River Park Hospital following a sudden illness.He was a retired building contractor, United States Navy veteran of World War II, and son of the late Emil and Ilma Peterson Stoik. Survivors include wife, Arlena Stoik of McMinnville; son and wife, Jerry and Betty Stoik of McMinnville; daughter and husband, Jeanne and Wayne Jordon of Claremore, Okla.; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; brother, Michael Stoik of Melbourne, Fla.; sister, Delores Cooper of Houston, Texas; and several nieces and nephews. A private memorial service was held Saturday, May 28.High Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
