Robert Dee “Bobby” Pitts, 24, of McMinnville died Wednesday, July 6, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
He was born Dec. 8, 1986 in Nashville and was a master mechanic with Peyton and Layne Tire Shop, and attended North Hills Drive Church of God of Prophecy.
Survivors include parents Arthur and Dee Anna Pitts, siblings Jennie (Rick) Howse, Arthur Bodie (Cassie) Pitts Jr., Jeff (Melanie) Pitts, David Pitts and fiancé Dava Kilgore, Sarah Pitts, Micah Pitts, Jamie Pitts, and Shannon Pitts. Nieces and nephews including Ashley Bratcher, Jennifer Nichols, Olivia Young, Tabitha Pitts, Josh Pitts, and Jeremiah Pitts, and several great-nieces and great-nephews also survive.
Funeral service is 1 p.m. Saturday at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Dale Poteet will officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. View Cemetery. The Pitts family will receive friends today from 4 to 8 p.m., and Saturday 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at McMinnville Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made at www.mcminnvillefuneralhome.com.
