Richard Lee Soehner, PhD, 82, a Rock Island resident and Louisville, Ky., native, died March 2 at his residence following a sudden illness. He was a retired virologist with M.D. Anderson Hospital and Miles Laboratories, a United States Army veteran during the Korean War, a member of St. Matthews Episcopal Church, and son of the late Howard Clayton and Lauretta Louise Harvey Soehner. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother Harvey Clayton Soehner.
