Rock Island resident and Grundy County native Rhonda Faye Cummings, 42, was born March 10, 1971 and died Nov. 25 at NHC Healthcare in Sparta following a three-month illness.A member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of Ray Cummings of Rock Island and the late Florence “Donnie” King Cummings.In addition to her father, she is survived by brother, John Cummings of Rock Island; sister, Joyce Cummings of Rock Island; aunts, Alice Watson of Pikeville, Evelyn Roberts of the Tarleton community, Charlene King of Beersheba Springs and Edith Cummings of Rock Island; and several cousins.Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in High’s Chapel with Rick Lyles officiating. Burial will follow at Crain Hill Cemetery.
