Monroe, Mich., resident and Warren County native Rebecca Frances Thomas, 81, was born Sept. 30, 1930 and died Dec. 4 at Fountain View Manor in Monroe following a short illness.A homemaker and member of Cork Church of Christ in Plant City, Fla., (former member of Arlington Church of Christ), she was the daughter of the late John W. and Dora Elizabeth Pennington Dixon.She was married to Harold Malen Thomas, who preceded her in death Jan. 28, 2002. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Deborah Savage; sister, Gertrude Hogan; brothers, Berline Dixon, Harry Lee Dixon and Clifford Dixon.She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Jimmy Vickers of Monroe, Mich.; three grandchildren, Jason Vickers and Kristen Vickers, both of Michigan, and Justin Savage of LaVergne and several nieces and nephews.Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. today in High’s Chapel with Charles Pearson officiating. Burial will follow at Grange Hall Cemetery.
