McMinnville resident and Putnam County native Raymond Harding Sliger, 90, was born Dec. 19, 1921 and died Feb. 9 at River Park Hospital following an extended illness.A retired employee of General Shoe Corporation, a Church of Christ minister and United States Army veteran of World War II, he was the son of the late Joseph Andrew and Clara Richardson Sliger. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Hattie Taylor, Hester Davis and Rozella Goodman, and two brothers, Richard and John Sliger. He was married Sept. 28, 1946 to Bonnie Goodman Sliger of McMinnville.
