McMinnville resident and Van Buren County native Ray Darnbush, 70, was born Feb. 14, 1947 and died Nov. 24 at his residence following an extended illness.A retired maintenance superintendent with Carrier Corporation, he was preceded in death by father Robert Darnbush; mother Kassie Lee Roberts and stepfather, Dewey McBride; son Greg Darnbush; great-grandchild Anessa Adams; and sister Kaye Jennings.He was married Aug. 7, 1965 to Ann Darnbush of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Billy Hammons of McMinnville; son Brad Darnbush of McMinnville; eight grandchildren and spouses, Misti and Jason Parsley, Andrew Sims, Brittany Darnbush and Asia Smartt, all of McMinnville, Kell Darnbush of San Antonio, TX, Savanah Adams of Henning, Garrett and Becky Hammons of Benton, Ark., and Jessika Hammons of Arkadelphia, Ark.; six great-grandchildren, Hana and Maci Parsley, Alayna Adams, Gracie Sims and Payton and Braydee Hammons; and brother and sister-in-law, James and Debbie McBride of McMinnville.Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 26 at High’s Chapel with Teddy Jones officiating.
