McMinnville resident and Warren County native Priceford Scott, 86, was born May 11, 1934 and died March 26 at Signature Health Care in Cookeville following an extended illness.

A veteran of the United States Army of World War II, retired employee of Walter A. Wood Supply Company, and a member of Pearls of Christ Church, he was the son of the late Mary Killian. Mr. Scott served for three years in Germany while he was with the United States Army.

He was married to Martha Joyce Scott of McMinnville. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by brothers and sisters-inlaw, Osban and Jean Scott, T.L. Scott, and H.B. and Joyce Scott, brothers-in-law Bennett and Boyce Scott, and niece Lisa Bohr Roubindeaux.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Scott is survived by special friend, Kristy Pugh of McMinnville, brother and sister-in-law John and Frances Bohr of Beersheba Springs, nephews Kenneth Bohr, Stephen Bohr, Jason Scott, and Tyler Scott, nieces Tammy Young, Janie McCormick, and Niki Crawford, and great-niece Kayla Wilcher.

Graveside service and interment will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 29, at Philadelphia Cemetery in Grundy County with Anthony Wanamaker officiating. Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery. The family requests everyone wear a mask and practice social distancing. Online condolences may be made at www.highfuneralhome.com.
