Gainesboro resident (formerly of McMinnville) and Warren County native Phyllis Ann Buckner, 63, was born Jan. 16, 1949 and died Nov. 8 at her residence following a sudden illness.A retired employee of Aqua-Tech and member of Bridge Community Church, she was the daughter of the late Emma Louise Davis Brock and the late Willard Elbert Jones. She was married Aug. 13, 1998 to Jake David Buckner, who preceded her in death March 3, 1998. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by stepfather, Frank Brock.Mrs. Buckner is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Charlotte Ely of McMinnville and Jennifer and Nathaniel Wanner of Gainesboro; sister, Debora Smartt and husband Johnny of McMinnville; two brothers, Joe Jones of Gallatin, and Gary Jones of Rock Island; stepmother, Wilma Jones of Indiana; three grandchildren, Jacob Ely, Gage Wanner and Madison Wanner; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jack and Marie Buckner of Campaign, and several aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and an uncle.Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday in High’s Chapel with Kelly Stockton, Ken Lewis and Jacob Ely officiating.
