Penny Irene Emler, 60

McMinnville resident and Sumner County native Penny Irene Emler, 60, was born Aug. 11, 1950 and died April 28 at her residence following an extended illness.
A retired CNA, she was the daughter of the late Odell and Neoma Brooks Crook. She was married to James Emler, who preceded her in death April 21, 2006. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Monroe Crook and sister, Myrtle Wilson.  
She is survived by four sons, Jimmy Bunch Jr., Timmy Bunch, Richard Bunch and Derek Emler, all of McMinnville; nine grandchildren; six brothers, Wilson, Bill and Ray Crook, all of Indiana, Sammy and Billy Crook, both of Sumner County, and Ralph Crook of New York; two sisters, Jewell Sawyer of California and Wilma Jean Crook of Indiana, and several nieces and nephews.  
A graveside service and interment was held Saturday at Viola Cemetery with Gary Few officiating.
High Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
