Mrs. Pauline Burdette “Granny” Edge passed away quietly at home on Sunday, Aug. 9, at the age of 96.

Mrs. Edge was born in Richmond, Ind., on March 10, 1924. She was preceded in death by husband Alfred Davis ‘Buck’ Edge. They were married Oct. 26, 1945. She is a member of the Baptist faith. Also preceding her in death were parents Clarence and Serena Elizabeth Pace.  Survivors include three children Diane Hinds of Franklin, Linda (Merle) Grizzell of Franklin, and Paul Edge of McMinnville, four grandchildren Cindy Johnson, Greg (Lori) Grizzell, Jeff Hinds and Amy (Troy) Walker, six great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson.

Mrs. Edge was a beloved mother and grandmother. She was a well-known and loved member of the Riverside community. She was a homemaker and worked in the family Riverside Grocery Store, commonly known as Buck Edge’s Store, for many years.

Funeral services were conducted Aug. 10. Jerry Womack and Merle Grizzell officiated. Interment followed at Mt View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Avalon Hospice or the McMinnville Humane Society. Online condolences may be made at www.mcminnvillefuneralhome.com.
