Paul Franklin Phillips, 76, of Rock Island died Friday, March 10 at Raintree Manor in McMinnville.
He was born on Thursday, April 4, 1940 in Chattanooga and was the son of the late Charley Phillips and the late Helen Cantrell Phillips. He was the husband of Judith Jones Phillips.
Paul was an Air Force veteran, serving 1958-1962 and was also a Mason at Warren Lodge 125 and was a member of the Church of Christ.
Paul is survived by his wife of 56 years Judith (Jones) Phillips of Rock Island, four sons, Marty Phillips of Rock Island, Terry Phillips of Rock Island, Randy and wife Tammy Phillips of McMinnville, James Phillips of Rock Island; 10 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Helen Phillips, four brothers, Edward Phillips, Clifford Phillips, John B. Phillips, and James Leon Phillips, two sisters, Frances Cook and Bobbie Taylor.
A graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Bethany Cemetery. Interment will follow at Bethany Cemetery with Jason Brown officiating. In lieu of flowers, donate to the Shriners Hospital for Children. Online condolences may be made to the family at gardensofmemoryfuneralhome.com.
