Patsy Layne Jones, 82, of McMinnville died Sunday, Feb. 7 at her residence.She was born Nov. 3, 1933 in Dunlap and was a longtime door greeter with Walmart and former employee of McMinnville Garment Company and was preceded in death by parents, Grady and Hallie Belle Layne; sister, Mary Grace Kelly; great-grandson, Paxton Benz Anderson; great-granddaughter, Zeley Belle Anderson, and daughter-in-law, Tonnette Jones.Survivors include her children, Jeffrey (Brenda) Jones, Joe (Joyce) Jones, LuAnn Jones, Katherine Jones, Bryan Jones, and Grady (Paula Hill) Jones; grandchildren, Jamie Womack, Jeremy (Amy) Jones, Aaron Jones, Amanda (Robert) Anderson, Jenna Jones, Jacob (Summer) Jones, and Chris Jones; sister, Evelyn Layne; brother-in-law, James Kelley; 12 great-grandchildren, many friends, and family.Funeral service was held Tuesday in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Richard Barger officiated. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Avalon Hospice or to the American Legion.
