McMinnville resident and Warren County native Nicholas Brodie “N.B.” Stiles, 91, was born Nov. 25, 1931 and died May 22, 2023 at NHC Healthcare in McMinnville following an extended illness.
A retired welder with Carrier Corp., member of Arlington Church of Christ and graduate of Central High School in 1950, he was the son of the late H.B. and Maggie Ulla Spain Stiles. He was married to Lucille Boyd Stiles who preceded him in death on July 11, 2002 and Faye Golden Stiles who preceded him in death on November 7, 2020. In addition to his parents and wives, he was preceded in death by thirteen siblings.
Mr. Stiles is survived by daughter, Diane (Mark) La Croix of Memphis; two sons, Kermit (Shirlene) Stiles of McMinnville and Jeff (Shanda) Stiles of Glensfork, Ky.; six grandchildren, Chris (Celia) La Croix of Holiday, Fla., Daniel La Croix of Memphis, Brian (Angela) Stiles of Hendersonville, Brandon (Allison) Stiles of Cookeville and Brock (Deana) Stiles and Laura (Rick) Stacy, both of McMinnville; eleven great-grandchildren; two step-daughters, Roxanne (Jeff) Prater and Cindy Killian, both of McMinnville; four step-grandchildren; brother, Charles (Joyce) Stiles of Murfreesboro; brother-in-law, Harry Preston of McMinnville and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside service and interment will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 25 at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Warren County with Wayne Cantrell officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Thursday from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. at High’s.
