Naomi Hughes Lancaster, 86, a McMinnville resident and Louisville, Ky., native died March 31 at River Park Hospital following a one-year illness.She was a successful beautician, avid gardener, seamstress, woman of the Lord, devoted mother and grandmother, and member of Liberty Cumberland Presbyterian Church.She was the daughter of the late Julian and Mildred Magness Hughes and was married for 37 years to J. Hughes Lancaster, who preceded her in death May 13, 1988. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Jessie Louise Cole, Margaret Rose and Jeanette Lindsey.Mrs. Lancaster is survived by daughter, Mary Jane (Chris) Paz of McMinnville; three sons, James Thomas “Tom” (Lynne) Lancaster of Palm Bay, Fla., Julian Richard “Rick” (Debbie) Lancaster of Pierre S.D., J. Hughes “Jack” (Vesta “Cissy”) Lancaster of Killen, Ala.; 13 grandchildren, Shannon (David) Adams, Brooke (Dave) Gilmer, Brittney (Neal) Haddock, Justin (Sue) Lancaster, Jenna Lancaster, Joe Lancaster, Ashely (Erwin) Burgos, Mary Kristin Lancaster, Joshua (Ashlin) Paz, Jonathan (Megan) Paz, Jesse Paz, Joanna Paz and Jeremiah Paz; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Frances Hall and Waldine Childress of Paducah, Ky. Numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews also survive.Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Liberty Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Harry Green officiating.
