McMinnville resident and Warren County native Nannie Bell Ramsey Martin, 87, was born Sept. 9, 1925 and died June 15 at her residence following an extended illness.A homemaker and member of East End Drive Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Doris and Sally Mae Locke Ramsey. She was married to William L. Martin Jr., who preceded her in death April 16, 2001. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Russell Ramsey and three sisters, Dorothy McGee, Helen Smith and Virginia Woodard.Mrs. Martin is survived by four children, Barbara Martin, William L. Martin III, and Thomas E. Martin, all of McMinnville, and Scherre Martin of Morrison; three sisters, Mary Cope and Linda Butts, both of McMinnville, and Johnnie (Lewis) Blevins of Detroit, Mich.; 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law; special friend, Ione Marchbanks of McMinnville, and a host of nieces and nephews.Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at High’s Chapel with Phillip Smith Jr. officiating.
