Nancy Cantrell, 78, of Smithville, passed away Thursday May 9, at her residence.  

She was born Aug. 10, 1940 to her parents, the late Johnie and Beulah Dillon Mace. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother Herbert Mace, and two sisters, Lucy Dockery and Betty Forrest. 

Nancy was a caregiver and member of Quebeck Baptist Church. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Glen West Cantrell of Smithville, loving special friend Diane Ferrell of Smithville, six daughters, Lisa Shoemaker of Cibolo, Texas, Debbie Pettit of St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Island, Sandra Eidson of Tampa, Fla., Sharon Kotecki of Olive Branch, Miss., Reba (Curtis) Jones of McMinnville and Gina Nixon of Smithville; grandchildren Misty (Mert) Schulze, Dickie (Amy) Denton, Clayton (Ally) Jones, Coty Jones, Katie (Kevin) Powell, Ryan Shoemaker, Jennifer (Clint) Fellows, Ashley Eidson, Danielle (Greg) Bourne, Kristen (Sabin) Johnson; great-grandchildren Carter, Adrianna, Sadie, Aiden, Mason, Ashton, Kolton, Isabelle, Jackson, Emyrn, Brieanna, Ethan, Brayden, Kayla; siblings Ricky Mace of McMinnville, Micky Mace of Cookeville, Leroy Mace of Sparta, Wilma Thrower of McMinnville, Linnie Montgomery of Florida, Doris Ward of Cookeville and Millicent Ashburn of Cookeville, and a host of nieces and nephews.  

Funeral service was Tuesday, May 14, at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Bobby Thomason officiating. Burial followed at Jericho Cemetery in Quebeck. In addition to flowers, the family asks donations be made to Lighthouse Christian Camp in memory of Mrs. Cantrell.

DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
