Myrtis Hagewood Vinson, 95, died Nov. 25 at NHC Healthcare in McMinnville.A nurse and a member of the Seventh-day Adventist church, she was the daughter of the late Effie and Tom Hagewood. Her 10 siblings preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Carlos Vinson; and two daughters: Norma Ann and Cynthia.She is survived by four living children, Larry Vinson Sr., of McMinnville, Sandra Jean Vinson of Murfreesboro, Marjorie Faye Williams of McMinnville, and Michael Brown Vinson of McMinnville; grandchildren, Ricky Vinson of Murfreesboro, Randy Vinson of DeKalb County, Larry Vinson Jr., of Cannon County; and Samantha Faye Williams of McMinnville; two great-grandchildren, Ryan Vinson of Gainesboro, Heather Vinson of Cookeville; and one great-great grandchild, Riley Vinson of Gainesboro.A funeral service was held Tuesday at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel.
