Morris Clark Carr, 66, of McMinnville died Sunday, March 1, at River Park Hospital.
He was born Sunday, Aug. 22, 1948 in McMinnville, the son of the late Jessie Carr and the late Willie Lusk Carr. He was the husband of the late Dorothy King Carr. Mr. Carr worked in the Sanitation Department for the city of McMinnville and was a member of Hiawassee Church of Christ in Morrison.
He is survived by his son, Dewayne and wife Nedra Carr of McMinnville, Kinnette and Randy Adams of McMinnville, Belinda Pleasant and Aric Nielsson of McMinnville, Keisha Carr and Johnny Wayne Conley of McMinnville, Albert Pleasent of Shelbyville, Cory Pleasant of McMinnville, stepson Charles Genn and Ruby Sadler of McMinnville, step-daughter Peggy and Johnny Lyons of Woodbury, 12 grandchildren, two great-granddaughters, two sisters, Johnnie Sue Carr of McMinnville, and Dora Belle and G.W. Crisp of Woodbury, three brothers, Clarence and Hattie Carr of Chicago, Ill., Jessie Ray Carr of Anderson, Ala., and Carl Carr of McMinnville,
special friend, James Cannavo, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Shirley Ann Dillard and Lottie Mae Fisk, and special companion Kathy Pleasant.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Gardens of Memory Funeral Home in McMinnville with Bro. George King officiating. The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 7, at Gardens of Memory Funeral Home. Interment will be held at Riverside Cemetery.
