McMinnville resident and Van Buren County native Minnie Notie Mooneyham Ashley, 93, was born March 18, 1920 and died April 9 at Raintree Manor following an extended illness.A retired seamstress at Pikeville Shirt Factory and a member of Midway Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late John Herbert and Minnie Susan Dodson Mooneyham. She was married to Russell L. Ashley, who preceded her in death March 19, 2000. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by son, Adrian Neal Ashley; grandson, Patrick Ramsey; son-in-law, Thorald Ramsey; four brothers, Foster, Clay, Ernest and Amos Mooneyham; and two sisters, Vernie Myers and Mary Jane Guy.She is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Herbert and Aline Ashley of Sparta, and Johnny Ashley of McMinnville; one daughter, Notie Ramsey of McMinnville; one granddaughter, Mitzie Ramsey of McMinnville; one great-granddaughter, Raven Dixon of McMinnville; four sisters and brother-in-law, Lola and Maynard Ashley, Anna Lee Haston and Lydia Hodge, all of Spencer, and Dovie Walker of McMinnville; and several nieces and nephews.A graveside service and interment will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Myers Cemetery in Van Buren County with Coy Hathcock officiating.
