McMinnville resident and Warren County native Minnie Evelyn Tobitt, 92, was born March 18, 1927 and died June 9 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville following an extended illness.

A homemaker and member of the Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Henry Duggin and Carrie Williamson Mullican. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Cyril Tobitt, two great-grandchildren Eric Fitts and Kayla Mabe, brother Richard Duggin and sister Eileen Tobitt.

Mrs. Tobitt is survived by six children, Georgia (Roy) Mabe, Edgar (Joy) Tobitt, Harold (Janell) Tobitt, Marie (Frank) Turner and Jimmy (Lisa) Tobitt, all of McMinnville, and Wilburn (Carolyn) Tobitt of Nashville, 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren;  several nieces and nephews and sister-in-law Louise Duggin of McMinnville.

Funeral service was Tuesday, June 11, at High’s Chapel with Rev. Ernest Cantrell officiating.  Burial followed at Whitlock Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.highfuneralhome.com.
