Mildred Virginia Green, 81, of Smithville died Wednesday morning, May 4, at her residence.
She was born July 26, 1934 to her late parents Hampton and Effie Pack Cantrell. Ms. Green was a homemaker and attended Open Word Tabernacle Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Pete Green; son, Timmy Green; grandchildren, Shawn Northcutt, Christy Culwell and Sabrina Brown; brothers, Hampton Cantrell Jr., Ray Cantrell and Lucky Cantrell.
Survivors include six children Danny (Pauline) Green of Smithville, Kathy (Butch) Northcutt of McMinnville, Steve (Barbara) Green of Smithville, Marilyn Strayn (Doug Parker) of McMinnville, Anthony “Doc” Green of Smithville, Sandy Stone of Smithville; 13 grandchildren, Amber Northcutt, Sara Northcutt, John Northcutt, Emily Northcutt, Steven Green, Hannah Armour, Amanda Hasemann, Jimmy Ray Culwell, John Strayn, Josh Stone, Hunter Stone, Tyler and Taylor Stone; brothers, Larry (Anita) Cantrell of Watertown, Buck (Brenda) Cantrell of Woodbury, Floyd (Bonnie) Cantrell of Smithville; sisters, Ruth Tabor of Crossville, Betty (Billy) Norris of Liberty; eight great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Darren Kinzer officiating with burial to follow at DeKalb Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Friday from 10 a.m. until time of service at 2 p.m.
