Mildred Juanita Byars, 98, of McMinnville died Monday, Nov. 25, at River Park Hospital.
She was born May 30, 1915, in Warren County and was a former employee of McMinnville Garment Factory, a seamstress, homemaker, and a life-long member of the Church of Christ at Mt. Leo. Mrs. Byars was preceded in death by parents, George and Mallie Green Hennessee, husband Jesse L. Byars, and sisters Edna Taylor and Goldie Taylor.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law Marvin and Myrna Byars, grandson Randy (Sonya) Byars, great-grandchildren Nathaniel and Lanya Byars, and brothers Winfrey (Dorothy) Hennessee, Morris Hennessee, and Jorris Hennessee. Several nieces, nephews, family members, and friends also survive.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Trent Key and Mr. Lee Hennessee will officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. View Cemetery. The Byars family will receive friends Wednesday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the parlors of McMinnville Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made at www.mcminnvillefuneralhome.com.
