Mickie Elaine Cantrell, 64, a McMinnville resident and White County native, was born Feb. 8, 1956 and passed Aug. 27 at her residence following a sudden illness.

She was a medical assistant with Hope Clinic, a member of the Baptist faith, and the daughter of the late William “Dude” Cantrell. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by maternal grandparents James and Lula Rollins, and paternal grandparents William and Emma Cantrell.

Ms. Cantrell is survived by son Clifford Ward of McMinnville, grandchildren William Ward of McMinnville, and Naudia Nashe Ward of McMinnville, great-granddaughter Harper Ward of McMinnville, mother Mary Etta Cantrell of McMinnville, brother Buddy Cantrell of McMinnville, sister Lori (Ricky) Smith of McMinnville, special aunt Kathy (Jerry) Hudson of McMinnville, aunts Janie Barnes of McMinnville, and Juanita Jones of Nashville. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

A graveside service and interment will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, at Bon Air Cemetery in Sparta. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.highfuneralhome.com.
