Marietta, Ga., resident and Warren County native Michael Paul Thaxton, 54, was born Jan. 23, 1960 and died March 10 at his residence following a sudden illness.A caretaker and member of the Methodist Church, he was the son of Theodore B. Thaxton Sr., of Marietta, Ga., and June Thaxton Lindimore of Raleigh, N.C.In addition to his parents, Mr. Thaxton is survived by brother, Theodore B. Thaxton Jr. of Suwanee, Ga.; three nieces, Jessica Marie Smith, Katie Thaxton and Lindsey Thaxton, all of Georgia; uncle, Ben Thaxton of McMinnville, and cousins, Sara Jean Thaxton of McMinnville, Celia George of Ohio, and Clay Thaxton of North Carolina.Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in High’s Chapel with Rev. Frank Gale officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery.
