Michael G. Wanamaker died suddenly February 14 at Erlanger Hospital.
McMinnville resident and Warren County native Michael G. “Monroe” Wanamaker, 57, was born Sept. 12, 1959 and died suddenly Feb. 14 at Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga.He was the son of Bill T. Wanamaker of Georgia and the late Brenda Ruegge Wanamaker. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by sister Denise Wanamaker Underhill; nephew Stephen Hunter; maternal grandparents Carl and Kathleen Ruegge; and paternal grandparents, Marvin and Mabel Wanamaker.He was married April 27, 1996 to Karla Cantrell Wanamaker of McMinnville. In addition to his wife and father, he is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Bobby and Brittany Cantrell of McMinnville and Justin and Beth Wanamaker of Oklahoma; daughter Karly Wanamaker of McMinnville; six grandchildren, Lakelynn, Ryan, Clara, Addalyn, Alek and Greyson; two sisters and brother-in-law, Deborah and Danny Johnson of McMinnville and Gina George of McMinnville; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Karon and Jared Kennamer of Morrison, and Allen and Kami Cantrell, Christopher and Janet Cantrell and Tonya and Johnny Rains, all of McMinnville; and several nieces and nephews also survive that loved him dearly.Mr. Wanamaker attended Warren County High School and served in the United States Navy.
