Meredith A. Whipple, a longtime resident of Warren County, died Thursday at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit after a short illness.She is the former wife of local businessman Ken Whipple and is survived by three sisters and a brother, all of Detroit. She is best remembered for her years of service with the Warren County Fair where she was treasurer and served on the board during the 1990s. She was also active in managing and fundraising for the Warren County Humane Society.Her funeral will be in Detroit.
