Melba Leslie Ferrell, 79

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Melba Leslie Ferrell, 79, was born March 21, 1943 and died Dec. 2, 2022 at Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro following an extended illness.           

A retired secretary from Warren Farmers Co-op and member of St. Mary Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Homer and Kathleen Templeton. She was married to Asa Rolling Ferrell of McMinnville on July 26, 1963.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother, Charles Edward Templeton and great-grandson, Caleb Ryan Jones.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Ferrell is survived by children, Diane and Michael Jones and Fred Ferrell, both of McMinnville and Lesley and Chad Burks of the Centertown Community; grandchildren, Ryan and Gwendolyn Jones, Macayla and Madison Ferrell, Makenzie Hullett and Thomas and Kayeden Burks; great-grandchildren, Madalyn and Cayleigh Jones and Ellis Majors; sisters, Pat and Lonnie Milstead of the Irving College Community and Ruth and Don Pitts of McMinnville, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mrs. Ferrell will be cremated. Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4 in High’s Chapel with Gene Autry Fults officiating.
